Landscaping improvements and the 2021 Initiative

Hi neighbors! We're seeing some great progress with the gravel, mulch, and yards on many properties and are impressed. Is there anything you're particularly proud of? We'd love to hear more about it. Our neighbor Jeffery Ballmann and his family have a great idea to share:
Hello fellow residents,
During the 2020 winter snow storm this year, I found a few fallen trees and countless broom stick sized tree branches on my property. As I was cleaning up the yard, I decided to keep and process the material as mulch. I have a residential grade chipper shredder and processed as much material as I possible could through my equipment. I used this as an opportunity to clean up some flower beds as well. I thought of spring and how having a clean yard for an Easter Egg hunt for my two boys for a family photo shoot as a nice goal.

Looking back now, I wish I would have taken care to get good Before, During, and After photos as I put much effort to clean things up. This gave me another idea, what if there was a neighborhood initiative to allow residence to post what improvements they are doing over the next year…
I thought it would be fun to see my fellow neighbors postings of both planned and, as in my case, un-planned improvements. Perhaps, a new garden with photos showing the late summer harvest. A newly changed garden bed with such things as new plants, new flower bed profiles, and the addition of garden art. Maybe an upgraded outdoor living area. How about those rough areas around the property that need some attention and finally received some.
This 2021 Initiative is to socialize the idea that PLE residence are encouraged, if they choose too, to post Before, During, and After photos of landscaping improvements they are doing over the next year.
As a resident, it would be nice to see the hard work that others are doing in the neighborhood and to see your creative outdoor spaces.
The Ballmann Family
